Ballet Themed Party Gifts

My 8yr old niece is going to celebrate her 9th birthday this May 2 and she’s already excited about it. Initially, she’ll celebrate her birthday at home with a fairy theme but that will not push through anymore as we are scheduled to just go swimming near our town. She just asked me to buy a cake for her so she can blow the candle before dipping in the pool.

Anyway, I guess it would be fun to have a ballet themed party for her for there are lots of decors and birthday stuff already available. I’m not sure if she’ll be interested with this theme when she turned 10.

Just in case you are going to attend a birthday party with a ballet theme, here are just some of the personalized ballet gifts that you can order online. I’m positive that these gifts will be a hit.

Our Journey to Regina RICA

Just learned about Regina RICA from a friend when I saw their photos in facebook. After learning about the place, we set a date to go there and it was only last April 9, 2012 (Monday) that our tripped pushed through.

We woke up early at 5:00 am and fetched my SIL and aunt at their house and it was already 6:45 am when our journey started. The trip was good and cool since the road to Tanay, Rizal has lots of trees and it was also early.

We reached Regina RICA at around 7:55 am, just right in time for their  8:00 am opening. Regina RICA (Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia) is founded by Dominican Sisters of the Regina Rosarii and is a place for prayers, devotion, pilgrimage, contemplation and an ecological sanctuary. It is located at Sitio Aguho Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal. They are open everyday EXCEPT TUESDAY. from 8am – 5 pm.
IMG_6416We first registered at PASILUNGAN and roam around the area 1st where there’s a mini-hanging bridge, a mini zoo and and lots of greens and foliage. This place is just pure eco-friendly. IMG_6428

A 71 -foot statue of our Lady- Queen Regina or Queen of Holy Rosary is waiting for us at top of the hill and to reach her we need to take 308 steps. I didn’t even feel any tiredness while climbing up there because the it’s windy and serene. Taking those steps is already a sacrifice and once you reached her at the top of the hill, you feel light and feel blessed.

Upon reaching the top, there’s a short briefing at the SULOD by RICA staff about what to expect and do at the Sulod’s premises. Before entering the prayer room, we bought some candles for offering and removed all our shoes.

Taking photos inside the prayer room is not allowed. Here’s our photo at the mantle of our Lady. We weren't able to attend any mass because it was scheduled at 4pm that day.

We stayed there for over and hour and we all feel blessed and happy to have visited her there in Tanay. This is one place that every family should go to for your prayers and devotion.

Just go to their website for location and other info. reginarica.org

Swimming or Not

My family has been meaning to go out swimming before the summer ends. Haha. I’m not excited though for I don’t like swimming esp. in the beach coz I hate the feeling of getting so toasted under the sun. My small niece is the one who always nags us about our swimming because she’s so excited to bring her floaters and of course kids love swimming.

I sure am a kill-joy if I will not grant their wishes. Anyway, we’re still looking for a resort that is affordable and also just near our place. We don’t want to go out of town anymore. One suggested a resort that we can choose, I heard it has nature theme and has a bunk bed in their rooms if we wanted to stay for a night. We’ll look into that but I guess we just prefer only swimming for half a day.

We Joined Earth Hour 2012

Catching up with my posts here.

We’ve been joining Earth Hour for I think 3 years now and this year is no exception. On March 31 2012, at 8:30-9:30 pm, I closed all the lights in the house to participate in this worldwide celebration of Earth Hour.

To kill the time, I stayed in the garage with my dog Sophie with just rechargeable light on. It was so funny because, every time I closed the light, Sophie will try to hide or find me and I know that she’s afraid of the dark hehe..There’s even an instance where my niece and I talk about scary stuff that made both of us scared lol.

Happy to have joined the Earth Hour, at least we have done our small part in conserving some energy.

Perfect Pearl Jewelry

Pearls discount seem to never occur, expect for this site I just found. I love their products of natural and cultured pearls. They have a variety of products all for a price I can afford. Their prices are up to 75% off the retail valued items. Their gems are perfectly imperfect and all seem to look very lovely on. My favorite product is the Triple Threat bracelet; I love the different stands of pearls and the way the pearls fall together. Since pearls are the only gem that is created by a living creature it is told to have several powers, such as love, safety, power and luck. Tell me that they just keep getting better and better!

Pearl necklace value is sometimes hard to figure out. However, some places just know what to do to draw in the customers. This site like I said has tons of products for cheap and all are high quality. Everyone needs a imagenecklace like the ones they offer because you will be sure to turn the heads of many. They are worn by thousands of women worldwide, but hardly any have the designs like these.  Necklaces can be combined with crystals, other gems, or simply other cultured colored pearls. They are essential for every woman’s wardrobe. They are a great addition to any outfit for a particular occasion. With all the different variety and each piece’s uniqueness guarantees the perfect pearl jewelry.

Music Course?

I was a little bit shock to hear that my nephew who is in only  in 2nd yr high school is already dreaming of taking up music course in college, 2 years from now. Hhmmm.. apparently he wanted to compose music or something similar to that. I guess maybe for sound scoring on shows or in other media. I'm sure he'd love and he’ll be excited to use high tech stuff like Sennheiser products too. Oh well, in my opinion it’s not a very practical course to take but, these days, kids will do whatever they want without even thinking of the future and their capabilities.

Oh well, it’s still 2 more years and he might change his mind. Also, I will not be the one to finance his course, so I have no choice but to shut my mouth..lol. Who knows he'd become a famous composer or something in the future?

Some Boost

Lately, a lot of people have been noticing that I loose some weight. They are quick to ask if I'm dieting or something but I told them I'm not and I don't have any intentions because I'm already thin in the 1st place. I guess, giving up softdrinks particularly Coke since Oct. 2009 and coffee since March 2010 made me loose some weight. Colas make me bloated and of course it's sugary so it can make me gain weight. As a matter of fact, I want to gain weight so I think I better need some boost.

I'm planning of taking multi-vitamins once again to increase my appetite and hoping that I can eat more. A friend of mine in turn take supplements and reading  progene review to boost his muscle building. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be a little plump soon.

Hot Hot Hot!

Untitled-1

I guess it was the hottest day yesterday. At 35C, the heat and humidity are just unbearable. I found myself drinking lots of cold water, turning the electric fan full blast and steady (no aircon at the house).

My poor mom already got sick because of the very hot weather. She has cough and colds right now that we already told her to take her carboceistine medicine that was prescribed by her doctor.

I’m hoping that temperature will cool down a bit on the next few days because it’s not good for my mom’s health but with forecast of 34C high, mom will suffer for sure. Yay!

New Haircut

image

I’ve been meaning to cut my hair for the longest time and finally on April 1st, after so much thought I had my hair cut short. It’s been over 20 years since I’m used to having longhair and it’s refreshing to have a shorter hair once again. It feels light and a bit easy to manage plus I don’t need a lot of shampoo and conditioner to use hahaha.

Actually, when I was at the salon, I just asked my hairdresser to cut 3 inches but decided to have it shorter so I guess 6 inches are chopped off. I somewhat like the cut but I still need to brush it all the time esp. when it’s wet so that it will not be too frizzy.

The next day, I went back to the salon to have my hair fixed and asked it to be cut 1 more inch off. I was not so satisfied but I guess I’m keeping my haircut for at least 1 year or so.
